Privacy

Your photos stay yours.

HEIC Glide is designed around a simple principle: a photo converter should not need to collect your photos.

Short version: HEIC Glide is designed to convert selected images in your browser. We do not ask you to create an account or send photos to us for conversion.

How conversion works

When you choose a HEIC or HEIF image, your browser loads the conversion code and processes the file on your device. The converted JPG is created in your browser and offered to you as a download.

What we collect

HEIC Glide does not require a name, email address, account, or payment information to use the converter. We do not intentionally collect the images you select for conversion.

Third-party code

The converter uses the open-source heic2any library, loaded from a public content delivery network when conversion begins. Your browser may request that library file from the CDN. The image file itself is passed to the library in your browser.

Analytics and consent

With your permission, HEIC Glide uses Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits, approximate region, device and browser type, and interactions such as page views, scrolling, and successful conversions. Google Analytics is not loaded until you select Accept analytics.

We do not send your selected photos, filenames, converted images, or image contents to Google Analytics. If you decline, analytics remains disabled. Your choice is stored in your browser so the site can remember it. You can change your choice at any time using the Privacy choices control.

Google may process analytics data according to its own privacy and data-processing terms. We disable advertising signals and ad-personalization signals in our analytics configuration.

Links and updates

We may link to helpful external resources. This privacy page may be updated as the product changes. The latest version will always be available at this URL.
